It's called ball relay. Maybe it's a record type of sport. Maybe it's a team vs team competition. But the idea is very simple.
Your goal is to get a ball to go a very long distance in very little time. You throw the ball to the next person and they in turn throw it to the next.
Ok. So it's a little simplistic. But so to is try to get the object to the other side and put it in the basket. Yet that sport has had so many iterations.
I'm just shocked how no one has bothered to do that ever. We even have purist sports like running. We even have relay running. It's just doing one simple task really well. I'm not dissing running but I'm shocked no one has ever thought that passing might be a good purist skill to do really well.
Even just back and forth with speed. I think that's just as interesting as quite a few Olympic sports. It's definitely more action packed than IPSC competition shooting. It's the paint drying version of shooting sports.
