People may or may not have died, but its clear the footage is stupid and fake.

I also have some experience with sound mastering and engineering.
I expect this could be an artifact of go-pro's dynamic sound normalization. This is also why you're not able to hear quieter sounds until there are large gaps in gunfire.
Kind of like your own ears, either the go pro or the streaming software is trying to dynamically adjust the levels to avoid clipping.

Seconded. Thats volume normalization

Insane pbkdf2 is not hard. I honestly should look up if that's still a good standard.
Lucky for me I set up my tables so it tells me the kind of hashing used and the number of cycles. So if I want to start storing new users with a new algorithm I don't have to purge the old ones, and if I decide I need more cycles I can just add more to the existing ones. Also the number of cycles each one got is slightly random so no one can use some rainbow table of pbkdf2xN. Plus per user salt kind of ruins that anyway.
If I can figure that out just for my own stupid projects how is this hard for facebook?

I intentionally set it up that way not just for good security that can be adapted but I wanted the table to coexist with bitcoin signature signins.
It's really only the UI I've been less than happy about. Finding a way to give people bitcoin sign in as an option while not confusing normal people is not something I've cracked yet.

How else could Zuck use them to credential stuff onto other sites and follow people around for his own personal jollies!

How long until people just stop using facebook? They are really testing the limits of "network demand".
