Yes, everything goes through cloudflare

This is correct, as a result my machine doesn’t even see your real ips.

My server is configured to not log ips as well.

Why do you use Cloudflare?

It's convenient, (good tools for dns management and such) and it reduces the PI that I am managing or have access to (since my server doesn't even see your real IPs with this setup), as well as acting as a potential layer of DDoS protection.

It also played nicer with the archive sites than when I was hosting directly.

It's not really necessary in any way to make things work; but it does make development more convenient and I don't see it as having any significant downsides.

Does anyone know what cloudflare does with their copy?

They keep logs and follow US laws. If you want to browse this site without being tracked and/or snooped on use a VPN or TOR

You mean any site.

Oh no! Not my IP!?! Whatever will I do? /s

People need to stop thinking this is a bad thing. Participate on the net as a true equal. Stop using other's services at their whim. Take ownership of your IP and host things from home as well as using p2p services.

That said, fuck cloudflare.
