You saying that page isn’t working? Because it’s working for me. I think the other peers shut down in part due to the memory leak and in part because I’m still changing stuff pretty regularly.

The indexing system is effectively federated and I don’t see a good way to avoid that and keep the system reasonably fast.

Edit: Beyond indexing, things are still pretty federated at the moment because GUN's development is still early; as it progresses more of the infrastructure will be distributable in radical P2P fashion, but I still don't think indexers are avoidable. There is no limit or reason not to have tons of indexers though each potentially focused on some subsection of all content.
